UK Tesla Referral

Step 2: Apply your referral link before you order

UK programme verified: · figures re-checked against tesla.com/en_gb

Got a code from Step 1? This is the make-or-break part: apply the link before you configure and pay. Miss it and the benefit cannot be added later.

The link-first rule — why order matters

Online there is no coupon box. Tesla ties the referral to your order the moment you begin configuring after arriving through a referral link. So the sequence is fixed: open the link first, then configure and order. Configure without the link and you cannot paste a code in later.

Ordering online, step by step

  1. 1

    Click the referral link first

Open a referral link (ts.la/<code>) before you configure anything. This tells Tesla to attach the referral to your order.

  2. 2

Configure your Model 3 or Model Y

Choose your trim, colour and options on tesla.com/en_gb as normal, staying in the same session you arrived in via the link.

  3. 3

Confirm the benefit in your order summary

Before you pay, check the order summary shows the referral benefit (the free Supercharging miles). If it isn't there, don't complete the order — reopen the link and start again.

  4. 4

    Place the order

Once the benefit shows, complete payment. The Supercharging miles are added to your Tesla account after you take delivery.

Where to look: the referral benefit appears as a confirmed line in your order summary before payment. Illustration only — your live summary shows current UK prices.

Ordering in a Tesla store

If you order in a Tesla store, give the sales advisor the referral code before they place the order. The same rule applies: it must be attached at order time, not afterwards.

It can't be added after you order

Once the order is placed, the referral can't be added retrospectively — online or in store. If you forgot the link, the benefit is lost for that order. This is the mistake the multi-brand directories gloss over.
